Who is Nancy Pelosi?
With the election coming near and the Dems foaming at the mouth, I thought it would be beneficial to see who their speaker of the house is. CAn you believe she is 66?
Born on March 26, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland she is the highest-ranking Democrat in the United States House of Representatives. She is the first woman to lead a major political party in either house of Congress.

Famous Pelosi quote.."Why should we put a plan out? Our plan is to stop him. He must be stopped." ( Referring to George W. Bush, Fox News, 3/17/2005)"
"In this case, it was strictly political," Jefferson said of the caucus vote. "[Pelosi] believes that it gives her a political advantage in this set of elections. She hopes that out of this she'll be speaker of the House one day, if the Democrats can take charge." Source
She will drain the GOP swamp. What she will do the first 100 hours. Gee, what then.
On Project Vote Smart she is rated as Liberal.
Here vote record can be found here.
She declined to provide proof that the trip was paid for by Todo Puerto Rico con Vieques, rather than D.C. lobbyist Smith, Dawson & Andrews. when asked when it was shown a Washington lobbyist firm did not pay for a trip she and other Democrats took to Puerto Rico in 2001.
In May 2000, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, a liberal Democrat, participated in a shameless attempt to stop public interest in the CIAÕs use and protection of drug-traffickers supporting the Nicaraguan Contras. Source .
She voted five times to appoint known pedophile Gary Studds to a committe head position. However, she is screaming for Foley to resign.Source
Newt Gingrich posed these simply themes.

3)Republicans are right to favor traditional American conservative social values, and the left is completely wrong to put San Francisco left-wing values third in line to be President...
Some other facts on Pelosi.
* On Sept. 14, 2006, Pelosi voted against building a fence on the border to protect America from terrorists;
* Before 9/11, Pelosi repeatedly voted to cut intelligence (in 1993 by $500 million) and after 9/11 she has still voted to cut intelligence (in 2004 she voted to withhold 25 percent of intelligence funds);
* When you ask why we were not more prepared for 9/11, remember that six months before Sept. 11, 2001, Pelosi voted to decrease proposed defense spending by $65 billion;
* The next time you think about North Korean nuclear tests and North Korean efforts to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile to reach the United States, remember that in 2002, Pelosi voted for an amendment to the FY 2003 Defense authorization that would block FY 2003 funding for space-based missile defense programs;
* Pelosi led a faction of 124 House Democrats who voted against final passage of the Patriot Act's reauthorization;
* Pelosi voted against the $87-billion Iraq/Afghanistan supplemental that included extra money for body armor for our soldiers;
* Pelosi voted against creation of Homeland Security Department;
* Pelosi was one of only 33 members to vote against prohibiting U.S. citizens and companies from conducting any financial transaction with countries that have been identified by the State Department as active sponsors of terrorism; and
* In 2004, Pelosi voted against House passage of the intelligence overhaul bill, which reorganized 15 intelligence agencies under one Director of National Intelligence.
I realize not all Democrats are liberal nutjobs, but you cannot deny the ones in power, are highly liberal. I would caution you on this election, when you vote for your local Democrat, you are putting another feather in Pelosi's hat. Look beyond your region, and see the bigger picture.

Are you serious? The Dems in power, e.g. Lieberman, are nowhere near the Left end of the spectrum.
Everything in American politics has lurched Rightward in the last two decades. Trust me on this. The "left wing" of the Democratic party nowadays is farther right than the Republicans of the '60s and '70s. (Thank you very much, Ronald Reagan.)
I know conservative Republicans get off on portraying themselves as some sort of woe-is-me, everything's-going-to-shit, we're-being-attacked bunch of victims, but let's face it, the Right has been doing pretty well for itself since Newt Gingrich and his crew came on the scene. But hey, everyone wants to root for the underdog, right? Paint yourself as a victim and you can "rally the masses" around you.
Unfortunately, otherwise-level-headed people get swept up in the empty platitudes and promises... enough to elect Dubya to two terms. (I still can't fucking believe 2004 happened... and neither can RFK Jr.)
I've suggested this to you before: look up the definition of "liberal" in any dictionary. If that's what a liberal is, then it looks like a pretty damn fine thing to be.
As far as Rush Limbaugh goes...
1) Republicans are right on defeating terrorism, and the left is wrong in wanting to run and hide.
Sure looks like the Right is doing great in the War On Terrorism. I mean, those US troops and innocent Iraqis sure do appreciate the elimination of terrorism over there. Afghans, too. Mission Accomplished.
2) Republicans are right on cutting taxes and growing a better economy, and the left is wrong in their desire to raise taxes.
Do you remember "Read my lips: no new taxes"? Who said that, exactly? And if you think the politics of the '90s don't matter anymore, just look at how many Republicans keep bringing up what an asshole Clinton was. Jesus, that was a decade ago... Clinton lied about getting head, and Dubya lied about... well, what hasn't he lied about?
3) Republicans are right to favor traditional American conservative social values, and the left is completely wrong to put San Francisco left-wing values third in line to be President.
Who sent dirty IMs to a 16-year-old teen, who (gasp!) was the same gender as him? What's "conservative" about giant debts and sending people off to unnecessary wars? And why are San Francisco values "wrong" -- who gets to decide which values are "correct"?
Could you Dittoheads just think once for yourself? Please?

OK. The higher democrats are severely left. If you don't believe that, then that only shows how left thinking you are.
Not painting anyone as a victim or underdog. I am just pointing out facts regarding Pelosi's actions.
As you know defintions for words change over time. Example: Gay use to be used for "happy" now it is used to define "homosexual characteristics".
When I use the term liberal, I mean they have views outside that of the mainstream.
I know you can't believe 2004. There are plenty of conspiracies out there still debating the chad votes. I am not in favor of everything the President is doing. There are many flaws with the Republicans. Hell, that is why I am a registered Independent. But unfortunately, I am looking at the lesser of two evils. That is sad to say, but that's just the way it is. If the Democrats can actually come up with their own ideas, perhaps they would be more appealing.
The 3 themes I posted were actually from Newt Gingrich now Rush Limbaugh. I don't believe I even quoted Limbaugh in this particular post, but whatever.
The biggest issue I have with the Democratic party is simply their leaders. This is why I clearly stated, not all Democrats are liberal nutjobs. There are many out there in the political offices doing a fantastic job. But the ultra-liberals containing the spotlight and power are not the same Dem's as your county Dem's.
Take a look at this youtube showing
Dems are not the same.
The left wing dem's are not the same.
People can vote however they want too. I would simply caution them to look at the big picture and not be myopic.

The "higher Democrats" like... Lieberman? Believe me, the higher-ups in the party want nothing to do with the likes of Kucinich, who I believe is truly "left." I mean, that guy... whoa, hell, if I were American I'd even vote for that guy!
But, because the Dems are a bunch of wusses, they'd rather elect someone who has a chance at "winning" -- i.e., someone who's more of a centrist -- than someone who actually represents something different than what the Republicans offer. John Kerry is a prime example of that.
Oh, another thing: you mentioned being "out of the mainstream." It amuses me when people on the far Right use "out of the mainstream" as some sort of pejorative... as if they themselves aren't "out of the mainstream" too. It just happens to be easier in 2006 in the US to blend in with the mainstream if you happen to be an extreme-Right rather than an extreme-Left. Why? Because politics in this country have skidded drastically rightwards in the past few decades.
"Chads" were 2000. "Massive voter registration fraud in Ohio and electronic voting machine tampering" was 2004. "Me shaking my head wondering how so many Americans are such naive, gullible fucks" has been going on since "chads."
9:54 PM
Lieberman is actually pretty moderate compared to Howard, Pelosi, Clinton, ect.
I think he made a good move to go Independent. I suspect he will win.
"Chads" were 2000. "Massive voter registration fraud in Ohio and electronic voting machine tampering" was 2004."
Your right, thanks for the correction.
The problem with most Americans is they are lazy. They take in what they want to hear.
